Let say you have a muse with the levitate ability for all your units. When you use an item or spell like dust of density or air vaccum which goes first? Do my units still fly. I mean does the hero effect come before or after the item?So if I have dust of density/air vaccum as my defencive assign and someone attack will it ground enemy units but still allow my units to fly using my muse's special abilty?

This explains in some detail the battle mechanics.

As for defenders item and assign, item comes first and then spell I think.

and a flying red played by Thaliongor. I was sitting at my pc taking a look at my account, when I saw Thal going down, and I was the only available target, so I was sure he was going to hit me. I was also sure he was not going to win, as he already tried countless time but never succeeded, cause my stack was pretty solid and I had some good heroes left, while he was not heroed up at all. So, he attacks me and lose. And I think that if I online counter him is some nice free land for me :D Though I have to say, I didn't know there were a sort of "gentlemen agreement" between him and P, not to play too hard, and he had respected that. But, since I didn't know that, I online countered him and won. And, don't ask me why, but I was pretty sure he was going to swing ;) So, you see, I exactly knew what kind of enemy I was going to face, in a few minutes, time for him to power up hard. A flying red. And then, from the assigns carpet/levi, I changed in order to adapt to him... Between, Lucis, who said that levi is not that useful against all flying? :D Put dust/levi as assigns and start to laugh hard!! :D As you can understand, he failed to grab me from something like 10-15 millions above. Not that even 150 millions would have made the difference, lol.

ok i kind of understand. but i need to clearify if i get attacked by flying units and have dust of density with lets say febble mind as defensive assigns and my muse hero has high level levitate abilities. the dust of density will ground all flying units and my muse hero's levitate ability will cause my units to fly?

1st Item or spell used:
All enemy units grounded

then muse hero ability kicks in:
my units gain fllying

ending up with grounding enemy units and granting flying to my units
or does it work the other way in which:

1st my muse hero ability kicks in:
my units gain flying

then item or spell is used:
groundin all units including my units that had gained flying from my heros ability

ending up with all units being grounded even with my muse hero levitate ability

All battle reports show hero abilities being shown first, so all hero abilities take effect before spell and item takes effect.

So at a guess I would expect dust of density to ground all units that the Muse causes to fly.
