What would you do to save jumpstart?

Suggestions welcome.

Awwww 2 yrs and I still see the same old players posting over and over again.... lmao just sad. Well Zeb I would like to ask you this... what would YOU do to save no jumpstart but the game?, Dont you think if someone with people´s skills and who actually knows what they are doing was running the game maybe more players would come, new players would bring more income which would eventually lead to no need to get rid of servers and the chance to expand. Has anybody heard the story of the monkey who crashed the pretty car?

Lmao, Grimwood and Razorblade replying. How long have you guys been playing this game?, you just proved my point... same old players playing and posting. As far as Zeb, I really like the few reviews you have on facebook. Nothing short of the game is being run by a monkey and has no appeal for new players since we have seasoned veteran.. lmao if you can even call people who have been playing the same game with no changes at all for more than 3 years. It flatters me you still remember me Zeb, it shows your IQ might actually be higher than I thought.

and it flatters us that this awesome game is still on your mind, your visit prooves that, because no one would bother revisiting a 'bad' game :D

Unlike your square of a game the pirates game does introduce new stuff every month if no every week, when was the last time a new unit or item was created here?. I find it funny how you laugh at that game when it has 4 or 5 more servers than this one and over 2000 players more and it started like 2 or 3 yrs after this one. What does that tell you? but no really I dont play it anymore because I know when its time to try something new, and to answer why I came back I was just curious to see if the same unfitted person was running thing because I got an email telling me I havent log on in a while.

What's the cost of running Jumpstart server for a year?

Not really my place to answer, but seeing as Zeb is a bit busy, I'll throw in my guesstimate.

As Zeb moved the game away from a paid hosting service and back onto the server in his own house, the cost should drop down to about zero. Should be a matter of setting up a new database (or maybe just making it active again), some configuration and some monitoring to iron out any bugs. Also you should put a figure to any increased bandwith usage (although realistically, most people will play less on the Normal server, if they play on Jumpstart, so there wouldn't be too much of an increase).

Largest cost would be to Zeb personally, for setting it all up again, timewise.
